Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of the terms

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the knowlee platform (the “Service”), provided by:

By registering for or using the Service you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any provision, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

knowlee is a platform for language teachers that provides tools for:

• Planning and running lessons, including in the built-in video classroom
• Managing the lesson schedule
• Creating and grading homework and tests
• Keeping student records and tracking progress
• Communicating with students within the platform

The Service is software provided to the teacher on a subscription basis. knowlee does not provide educational services, is not a party to any arrangement between a teacher and their students, and does not collect payments from students on a teacher’s behalf. The terms and price of tuition are agreed between the teacher and the student outside the Service.

We reserve the right to change, extend or discontinue individual features of the Service with prior notice to users.

3. Account registration

3.1. To use the Service you must create an account with accurate information (name, email) or sign in with Google, Facebook or LinkedIn.

3.2. Teacher accounts may be created by persons aged 18 or over, or by legal entities acting through their authorised representatives.

3.3. A student’s access to the Service is created at the invitation of a teacher. If the student is a minor, the inviting teacher confirms that they hold the consent of the student’s legal representative (parent or guardian) or educational institution.

3.4. You are fully responsible for keeping your password confidential and for every action taken under your account.

3.5. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, notify us immediately at [email protected].

3.6. One account is intended for use by one natural person. Sharing account access with third parties is not permitted.

4. Rules of use

When using knowlee you agree not to:

• Break applicable Ukrainian law while using the Service
• Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Post offensive, discriminatory or unlawful content
• Use the Service to send spam or for fraudulent activity
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service’s systems
• Use automated tools without our written consent
• Impersonate another person or provide false information about yourself

Breaking these rules may lead to temporary restriction or permanent termination of access to the account.

4.1 Responsibility for content

You are fully responsible for the content you upload to the platform, including holding the rights to use it and a lawful basis for processing students’ data.

5. Payment and subscriptions

5.1. Part of the Service’s functionality is available under paid plans. Current plans are listed on the Pricing page and under Settings → Current plan in the Service.

5.2. Every new teacher account receives a free 14-day trial. When it ends, access to paid features continues only with an active subscription.

5.3. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers: Monobank for customers in Ukraine and Paddle for customers elsewhere (Paddle acts as merchant of record and issues the invoice in its own name). We do not store full card details.

5.4. Automatic renewal. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, a subscription renews automatically for the next period at the same plan until it is cancelled.

5.5. You can cancel a subscription at any time in the settings. Access to paid features continues until the end of the current paid period.

5.6. Refunds. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of payment — no questions asked. To request a refund, write to [email protected]. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. The full rules are in the Refund Policy.

5.7. We reserve the right to change plan prices with at least 14 days’ notice before the change takes effect.

6. Intellectual property

6.1. All rights to the Service — its design, source code, the “knowlee” trademark and logo — belong to us or our licensors.

6.2. The content you create and upload (lessons, assignments, materials) remains yours. By using the Service you grant us a limited licence to store, display and process that content solely to provide the Service’s functionality.

6.3. Copying, modifying or distributing elements of the Service without our written permission is prohibited.

7. Limitation of liability

7.1. The Service is provided “as is”. We make reasonable efforts to keep it running without interruption but do not guarantee the complete absence of technical failures.

7.2. We are not liable for: indirect, incidental or consequential losses; loss of data caused by third parties or force majeure; the content of materials uploaded by users; the outcomes of tuition a teacher delivers using the Service.

7.3. Our total liability to a user is limited to the amount that user paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.

8. Account termination

8.1. You can delete your account at any time by sending a request to [email protected]. We delete the account within 30 days.

8.2. We may suspend or terminate access to an account in case of: a breach of these Terms; suspected fraudulent activity; prolonged inactivity (over 24 months) — with prior notice.

8.3. When an account is terminated, its data is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law and disputes

9.1. These Terms are governed by the law of Ukraine.

9.2. Any dispute arising from the use of the Service is resolved by negotiation and, failing agreement, in court in accordance with Ukrainian law.

10. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. Users are notified of material changes by email or by a notification in the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
